Day 295 Sunday - Hong Kong, Chanel and dehumidifier

Hong kong' spring is very short-lived! Now, bye bye to blue skies- hello to rain and humidity!

And I am so looking forward to summer ., so to cheer me up from this weather I treated myself to the black box!

But a trip to the electronic store put me back to reality . One bag equals to 6 dehumidifiers !!!

Ooh!! What would I choose?Both!

Day 296 saturday - Hong Kong, Kirala

Finally , we tried this Japanese kaiseki restaurant at causeway bay. 
It's very authentic and feels like we are back in Tokyo. For many hong kong or non Japanese, maybe they will find it a bit too quiet or bland as basically there's not much view or hustle bustle ...

Personally I like it, it's zen and private dining. Although the wait staff could be more careful and meticulous , they are friendly and attentive.

There is no ala carte now ( though) they will start next month so there is only 2 menus . 1200  or 1500
It's 7 course meal and all very fresh and prettily presented. Menu changes monthly.

This month focuses on spring fishes and vegetables , and they are all very delicious, the dessert is superb, too!
Thankful for great dinner , again :)

Day 297 - Friday - Hong Kong, Girls chat! 3's a company!

It's been quite a routine, my friend and I been meeting on Friday for dinner that usually we ended with another girlfriend and became a girls  nite ..

What we did? Chat, chat , chat....
It's good to chat and I found 3 people is the best number for chatting and the flow will always be there because there will be 2 people chatting ... It also gives good share of voice to everyone so everyone feels heard! 

Thankful for Fridays !

Day 299 - Wednesday - Hong Kong, How do we get disappointed?

Today I offered some time to a friend who had a disappointed incident.. How do we get disappointed? Simple we didn't get what we want, we did not meet the expectations or the person did not meet our expectations..

In my friend's case, she has a very positive perception of herself and when others do not feel the same way, she gets disappointed..

I wonder if it's better to have a high level of positive image of yourself or lower confidence ... I suppose it's a fine balance!

Tonite my friend invited me to a jewelry event dinner at h -one at IFC. View is spectacular and it's really nice to enjoy a beautiful event!

Start of a work week

A full day of meetings, brainstorming makes excites my brain. Off to a relaxing massage and facial !

Day 302 - Sunday - Hong Kong, All nighter

Celebrating friend's return to another continent, we partied ourselves till dawn!
It's been a while since I last pulled an all nighter !

Whew ! What a nite!

Day 303 Saturday - Hong Kong

The sky cleared up. Finally went for 40 minutes walk, 20 minutes jog.

Day 304 - Friday - Hong Kong, another rainy day...

At 11 am.. It's already dark!! There must be sunshine after all these rain!! Waiting for it...

Meanwhile , enjoy the rain drops..

A surprise came in . A beautiful white bouquet 

What a joy! Like sunshine in the rain! Uplifted me!

Today I am thankful for finding joys in rainy days!!

Day 305 - Thursday - Hong Kong, rainy hong kong

Rain is the sign of spring ?

When it's raining like this, it's great to nest in.. That's what I did, well deserved after whirlwind traveling 

I am thankful for dry, comfy home.. And iPad for Japanese drama !

Back to HK

No travel for 2 weeks from tomorrow! Good to be back!

Day 307 - Tuesday - Hong Kong to Taipei

One of my fave cities, Taipei.


It looks like a southern city of Japan so it's very familiar to me.
Also I had many good family visits in Taiwan when I was little.. I think first trip was back in 1980!

Day 308 - Monday - Hong Kong, A ray of hope

Despite the sudden heavy rain, we made it on time for the hk adoption talk.

This is the start of our journey . It's the first step in HK to get the paper work done.. There were about 8 couples in this session and we were briefed of the paperwork and the types of children available for adoption..

It was an informative clear session and the social workers seem to be very helpful..

Somehow after the session I felt stable but at the same time, I am also taking in lots of energy from the group .. Restless sleep !

I am thankful to take the first step to adoption .. Another adventure!

Day 309 - Sunday - Hong Kong, New taste

I have been wanting to try the new ramen restaurant, shugetsu ..

Couple of weeks ago , we had coffee at sidewalk on gough street , a very boho chic street area in hong kong, and saw a line waiting for shugetsu ..

It's been the talk of town among ramen lovers.. It's not so typical because their speciality is tsukemen ( sauce on the side) and Abura ramen ( no soup ramen). The owner brought it back from ehime , including the noodle which is very yummy!

Day 310 - Saturday - Hong kong, Shek-O

After being in the plane so much, I yearned for some nature, so we headed to Shek o, a beach village in south side of hk island .
